My Approach - A Healing Partnership

 

My training in Relational Psychotherapy, EMDR Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Somatic Relational Psychology and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, in addition to my background in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Energy Therapy, combine in a unique way to create my approach to therapy and wellness. My approach is a holistic one which includes the emotional, spiritual and physical aspects of my clients as they experience themselves in the world. I create a safe and non-judgmental, private space in which we can work things through. By sharing your experience with me, I will help you to make sense of your experiences, thoughts and emotions. I will help you to discover meanings, recognize patterns and explore options for change. I will help you strengthen your sense of self and clarify your connections with others. I will encourage you to treat yourself kindly, with love, patience and respect. EMDR Therapy and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy are recognized interventions for the treatment of trauma and PTSD symptoms. As a result of our work together, my clients often experience improvements in relationships, release from painful emotional and physical symptoms, a greater sense of control and empowerment, a deeper understanding of their behaviours and feelings, and an overall improved sense of health and wellbeing.
